This depends, among other things, on which product you use. On everage, you will retain the tan for about 5 to 7 days if you take good care of it. There are no different colors of spray to choose from. The spray contains DHA and Erythrulose, which act on the amino acids, proteins and peptides found in the skin surface. This creates melanoids, organic pigments with a brown color. The spray stimulates your own pigment, so that everyone sees their own natural color. That is of course the best.
Because sunbathing is not recommended when you are pregnant (due to pregnancy mask), the self tan products from Sienna-X are perfect during your pregnancy to provide yourself with a beautiful tan.

Swimming, bathing and going tot he sauna will make the tan fade faster. Tanning products work on the stratum corneum of your skin (the dead skin cells) and by ‘soaking’ the skin, the top layer of skin loosens more quickly. This will make your tan disappear faster. We recommend that you only go swimming or visit a sauna 8 hours after applying one of our products.
Undergoing one of these treatments requires rest for the skin for the first 3 days before and after the treatment. Wounds are made in the skin and these must first heal before a tanning product can be used. In short, our tanning products cannot be used 3 days before and after the treatment, but they can be used before or after.

This refers to the unique effect of four ingredients. Below is the effect of the 4 ingredients:
- Dihyroxyacetone (DHA) acts on amino acids, proteins and peptides found in the skin. This reaction produces melanoids, organic pigments with a brown color. This entire process takes approximately 2 to 6 hours after application.
- Unlike sun tanning (this takes place deeper in the skin - and DHA reacts only with amino acids on top of the skin) that is, at the skin surface (in the epidermis). That is why the brown color disappears after a few days: then the brown-colored skin cells have worn away from the skin surface.
- The Erythrulose, which is also in the tanning spray, has a similar effect as DHA. But because it is a slightly larger molecule, it acts more slowly on the amino acids etc. on top of the skin. The entire process takes approximately 24 to 48 hours after application. As a result, DHA also forms a good combination with Erythrulose: the first makes the skin tan quickly, while the second provides a more long-lasting tanning effect.
- Dimethyl Isosorbide promotes the deeper absorption of DHA and other self-tanning substances into the skin. This makes the skin tanning effect more intensive, remains visible longer and has a more even color tone.
